198 v6 intake manifold interchange with 225 v6 ?

    Well, I have this 4 barrel offenhauser intake manifold I bought years ago.. and I attemped to fit it on my 225 :v6: and it did not fit. I could not believe it, but the intake manifold was actually slightly narrower then the 225 intake that fits. If i remember right, it was about 1/8" narrower on each side. So, I am wondering, if I have a 198 v6 intake manifold ? There are no part numbers on the intake. It is a offy 4 barrel dual port.

    I did some searching here a few weeks ago on intakes and I remember something about an early offy manifold. 4bl.

    I would have to measure (the 198 is burried in the shop) but, Offy has 3 part numbers for the V6 Dual Port Intakes:
    6153DP - 198 '62-'63
    6035DP - 225 '64-'72
    6167DP - 231 '76-'78
    '79 and up is the Edelbrock.
