Can anyone tell me the difference between a T-14 and a T-86 Transmission? Gear ratio's? Do any parts interchange? Or can you refer to a site that will tell me?
    Thanks
    Jeff

    1) T-86, basically an updated T-90. Non-synchro 1st. T-14, newer transmission. Synchromesh 1st. Both are cast-iron Borg-Warner 3-speeds, roughly the same size and strength. 2) See link below. T-14 has a slightly lower 1st, and a much lower 2nd. 3) No, not that I know of. 4) http://www.jeeptech.com/trans/

the t14 is slightly longer and wider. I had my driveshafts shortened (rear) and lengthened (front).
