Help!! Uncontrollable Steering wobble

    Where do I start. I just bought a 66' CJ5 froma guy who used it as his daily driver. Ocassionaly at speeds of 20-40mph the tires will hit a bump and uncontrollably shake the front end and stearing wheele to the point where I have to slam on the breaks. Where should I start to fix this problem?

    Use the search feature and search for "death wobble". There are a number of things that can cause it. Alignment, loose steering parts, tire balance, etc.
