Alt. mounting bracket help!?

    Okay, I have the V-6 with, as body panels and other components have come off I came across something that I couldn't really see before.... A crack in the alt. mounting bracket to the block yeah the aluminum one, it has a crack all the way thru where the long bolt goes into the block. Anyone have a suggestion on repair or replacement? It is holding right now and has been as far as I can tell, just afraid if I take the alt. out, it may never go back in without repair or replacement....... If needed I'll get a pic up Friday night or Saturday morning...

    If it's aluminum and you can't find another one, it can be welded. Heli-arced, actually.

    call flaps and see if they know of any locals that weld alum.
