Does anyone make a performance camshaft or higher compression pistons for the f 134? Has anyone dynoed one to find the sweet spot for a timing curve? Thinking of freshining mine up but can't help but want to boost power some. I have heard of headers and a higher compression head available on the high altitude engines. What can be done to these little anvils to make more power below 4000 rpm. I am just in the planning stages now, but could start at anytime. There are many great articles on these jeeps, but little info on engines. Hope someone can shed some light on this dark area.

the small valves and long bore stroke are going to be the limiting factors.

I do recalling seeing an add for a supercharger for the :hurrican: in an old 4wd mag.

The intake valves on an F head are 2" in diameter.

    :iagree:

Heavy block, steel crank & rods should be able to handle some boost.

Look at the old flathead F*rd books for tips on smoothing/relieving the intake and exhaust.

Check out Dick Datson's books and products: http://www.gatorsuperchargers.net/books/books.htm
