Howdy fellas I noticed today that my fuel pump on my 53 Willys F-head 134 was weeping some not a leak just damp with fuel on the outside of the pump. My question is if the pump has developed a vaccuum leak also would it afect my engine I dont have a vaccuum advance distributer IM not sure but I think all the vaccuum is for are the windsheild wipers. I did just have the Carb rebuilt and the Willys still stumbles at high rpm in third gear could this be vaccuum leak problem ?

I would fix the pump. It may or may not be your running problem though. The leak could be a line fitting, or leaking around the seam or bowl. Check your oil and make sure you are not getting gas in your oil.
