Sound & heat barrier

    I am about to start thinking about wiring and I was wondering if I should look into this. I know it's probably useless but I thought I'd ask. If I put duramat or another brand of sound proofing insulation on the fire wall would that help with noise and heating? Even as I type this it sounds like a dumb question but now is the time to ask before wiring.

    I found some heat shileding that is designed to wrap around the exhaust pipe. It actually works pretty good at reducing the floor board temps.

    Heard some good things about this product from some street rod buddies. Plan to try it in the 3b with Durabak smooth inside over it.
