    Hey All,
I have a CJ2a that I want to start building. I have been saving for a while and i have a little money and some parts but i need to get started. Plans are: 4.3L Vortec, TH350, Dana 18. I plan on installing a 3" Black Diamond lift, maybe something else imnot really sure, and running 33" or 34" tires. My Question is where should i start?

Right now the jeep has the stock suspension and the PO swaped in a Pontiac slant but never put on the shocks so the front is really sagged. Should i put a new lift in and then place the drivetrain or swap the saggy srpings with the rear, or just leave it and know that when i do put a lift on it that i will be fine at compression? What about brake lines and wiring and such, right now there is just the frame with the body sitting on it and everything is bolted back together. So what should my rebuid order?

    1: Place motor and drivetrain
2: Run brake lines and Install master cyl
3: swap manuel steering to power (or maybe this doesnt mater)
    4: suspension
5: body stuff (patching holes, cutting fenders, etc)
    6: wiring
7: finishing stuff (winch, new bumpers, spare tire in rear, change diffs)

Please let me know what i am missing or in what order you did it.

    Thanks
    ~pete

A couple of those things are gonna have to be done at the same time to ensure proper fitment...like the steering while your placing the engine. That way you can make sure the steering shaft will clear the manifold and motor mounts. Probably want to put the new suspension on first, I doubt you'll have any problems with it flexing up far enough to have any clearance problems with those springs.

When you say change diffs in the finishing stuff section, are you talking about regearing or swapping axles??

well as far as diffs, i mean change the 25 to a 30, and the rear 41 to a 44, but those are just bolt-ons from what i have found
