Carter YF ball bearing placment?

finnally got around to rebuilding the YF carb. When I got the main body separated from the air horn, there were 2 small (one smaller than the other) metal ball bearings in the bottom of the main body under the float, just rolling around. Looking through the manual and the rebuild instructions with the kit, where these little critters go is not very clear. Any help would be apreciated

 

there is supposed to be one under the accelerator pump housing.
the other I thought was staked in the body, for the discharge jet.
the FSM talks of them, but the locations and the pics aren't very helpful.

Check - I thought one was under the accelerator pump - the small one. then it traveled into the channel and I had a tough time getting it out (gotta love compressed air). Found a YF rebuild link - it looks like one of the balls drops into the top of the accelerator curcit then a small weight goes on top of it - of couse I do not have the weight, it was not in the carb or the rebuild kit. The other is supposed to be under the pump. My delema is I was a bit generouse with the carb cleaner prior to disassembly which eroded the old pump - the balls were rolling around loose. Add to that a note in the rebuild instructions, the fact that some models do not use these.

If I skip them, what can i expect?

I'm just looking to make her run, it has been a complet restore on this project and i can look closer later if necessary
