I've been working on the owners 462a for the last couple days now. Its been passed around to too many techs for the past year, but most everything was done and all that needed to be done was the fine tuning.

The column shifter I finally figured out after a day and a half. The biggest problem was no oil in trans:rofl: second problem was too much play in one of the rods from the shifter to the trans.
3, its just got too much slop in the rev/1st shift throw.

Anyone take one of these apart and how hard is it to get the tollerances back. The guy's spent a small fortune on this stupid thing and I just know that he's not going to be happy with the way it is. the service manager is putting it off till last in hopes that it will be ok, but I don't think he'll like it...

Any idears or parts sources, or tips to make it shift better would be appreciated8)
