dumb question

    i was cleaning up the fan to my 225 for painting. my question is why is there a different amount of distance between the fins? why not just make them all equal? is there a balance issue here i'm not aware of:? just had me wondering......

    If the spacing was even it wouldn't work on an odd-fire motor. .......................................R) I always wondered the same thing, I've seen it in other appl. too.

    I think it has something to do with the cross-static created by the 3-part harmonic balancer as it reaches it’s peak resistance to the Coriolis force….either that or I don’t know either. :D

    Maybe has to do with noise - like unequally spaced blocks on tires. Equally spaced blades would make a louder noise all at one frequency.
