So, I just made the switch to a hydrauilic setup from partsmike. I get every thing bolted up and installed, and fill the mc with dot 4. I hop in the jeep and start pressing the clutch peddle to try my new toy. Nothing happens. Whoops! In my haste I forgot to bleed it.

So I drain the system out and go pick up a vacuum pump at the local FLAPS.

I've read about bench/vacuum pump bleeding, but the pump didn't come with instructions for bleeding a clutch mc.

So my newb question of the day is, how do you bench bleed the master/slave clyinder on a hyrdaulic clutch set up with the vacuum pump? I've looked it over but just can't figure it out for the life of me.

I bench bled my MC just like you would for brakes. There may be some variation in this but here's what I did. I connected a short piece of tubing from the output on the MC and ran it back into the resevoir. Pump the plunger until no more bubbles come out of the tube. I then installed the MC and bled the slave just like you would normally bleed a brake wheel cylinder.
