ok, i'm looking on spending some dough..... looking at headers for a 225:v6: on Quadratec. Pacesetters are $229, anyone bought these? any good? Hedmans are $186, and the high temp coated are more than what i want to spend. i'm using stock steering so are any of these gonna be in the way? your thoughts, theories, and advice appreciated.

I recommend checking pricing at Summit on the hedman's. www.summitracing.com

Mine were about $130. The hedmans come with the header buddy style ball connectors (no gasket required), the connectors to weld to the mufflers, mounting hardware both for the ball and header to cylinder head plus the gasket.

Expect to add some aftermarket header paint as well if you don't choose the high temp coatings.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

the stock ross box doesn't interfear with the hedman's on my 5. i did have to mod the tub, though: had to make a plate with a cutout on it to clear the header and still support the firewall, used the pass side as a pattern. i recommend using longer bolts with lock washers over the the short bolts that come with the headers. neverseize is your friend, use a lot on the bolts. i painted 3 coats of header paint on mine when new, and recoat every 2-3 years as needed.
