Guys, looking for an ORIGINAL transfer case shift knob for my 75. The aftermarket one I purchased a long while back just has the positions painted on, and since, have pretty much rubbed off.

If I remember correctly, the original pattern/letters were cut into the knob and if need be, paint could fill the indentations to relabel. Would someone with an original 75 please verify this and, if so, anyone know where I can get one.........thanks !!!

Let me look. I've got mine somewhere. I twin sticked and they came with pretty new ones. I'll dig 'em out, photo them and you can see if they are what you want. From '73.

Many, many, thanks to Dana Woodruff from Galveston for donating the particular knob I was looking for. After a little clean-up, sanding and painting, looks pretty darn good!!

Whats unique about the original is the pattern is actually indented into the bakelite, not just painted on. Thanks again, Dana !

Thanks for the compliment. I've had her since 1980 and last year made her my daily driver. Just finished putting on a new suspension and today received a NOS 7039 YF Carter carburetor that I won off of e-bay. Always something to tinker with...keeps me out of trouble !!!

Glad to see it in a good home. Had the pink Jeep at Autorama this last weekend with the AMC Club. Lots of fun. A beautiful old Willys Wagon was there.
