Thought it was a sticky lifter in the 258 since I had it. Seafoam it several times and she runs great. Just a tic tic on #3 cylinder. Lots of play on both of these rockers and rods. Is it ok to replace just these rockers, pivots and bridges and not the rest. Rockers look to have worn in on the bottoms. Rod tops look ok. Should I grab new rods? Oil is lifting fine on all rods.

Can get this locally for $15

For just the cylinder in question? Or should I spec all and do more? Finally found an original valve cover to replace the cheap stamped chrome crap peddled on ebay I have. Warped from day one.

It should be fine. in my old commando i had a 304 and they had cast aluminum rockers that 2 decided to grenade. i just repalced them and it ran great. But if you have the money at the time, it may just be better to do it all. Less time to go back under incase another tic tic tic starts to happen. Doestn take that long. IF you need help i can swing by and give you a hand.

Did the rockers, pivots and rods for #1 and #3. Helped - rods and bottom of rockers were worn. Still had to mill a couple thousands off the pivots to tighten correctly. Easy, quick and not that expensive - $30. Plus I put on a original OEM valve cover and new seal - no leaks!

Thanks for all the helps R)
