What else should i pull? (engine swap)

i am planning on pulling a chevy v6 from a blazer to fit into my cj2. while i am there, what else shoud i take? i plan on using a painless wiring harness so im not sure what else i might need. thanks.

All the sensors you can, computer, as much of the old wiring harness as possible. They used some heavy wires in it for the charging system that will come in handy when you wire in the new one. And pretty much any other stuff they'll let you get your hands on. If your not sure if you need it or not, take it also, b/c you will end up needing it for some reason dahik

 

grab the pedal assembly just in case.

All of the brake stuff, master cylinder proportioning valve etc.

All of the clutch stuff if applicable.

As said, make sure you grab the computer if its fuel injected. Keep the original harness and all the associated sensors.

Grab EVERYTHING you can get off the donor vehicle. You may not think you need it, but better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

 

Cut the exhaust aft of the Y-pipe and leave it hooked to the manifolds. It'll make building an exhaust easier down the road. Air box, any and all sensors, complete wiring harness with underhood fuse box, firewall plug connector, - just grab everything.
