I got my 2-jet rebuilt and put on my 225 v6 but keep getting a vac leak between the carb and intake.....i think. All accessories on carb are plugged off and When I spray carb cleaner or anything at the base of the carb it revs and runs smoother. The gasket that came with it is soft and very thick, is there a better gasket and if not is there some sort of RTV type think that would stand up to gas. I hate vac leaks but they are so damn stubborn to find and kill!!

Check the side's of the body where the opens for the cross shaft for the throttle plates are, could be worn. Check for cracks at the base of the carb. If your are using a new gasket I cant imagine you having a leak there, don't use RTV for a carb gasket, it will leak.

I figured RTV would not work I was just wondering if there was something more for gas. I guess i will get a new gasket and start over....
