I have been looking into brake stuff lately.. from what I understand. When swapping to disc brake up front, you will need to make changes in your brake system. Depending on what you did or want to do.. there are diffrent changes needed. Basically, you need a 2 lb RPV for disc brakes, however.. you will not need this 2 lb RPV if you mounted the master cylinder higher than your calipers.. like your firewall. But, if you mounted it under the floor.. it'll be good to have the 2 lb RPV. I dont know what master cylinder you swapped in.. but you need to figure out if it has built in RPV's or not. Drum brakes need 10 lb RPV's regardless where the master cylinder is mounted. Also one more thing.. it is recommended to have a metering valve for your front disc brakes if you have drums in the rear. This metering valve does some kind of balancing job, and it plumbs in where your front brake line splits to left and right disc brake calipers. If you had 4 wheel disc brakes, this metering valve wouldnt be needed. Another thing.. to balance your brake system.. install an adjustable proportional valve in the rear brake line.. as you want more braking power to the front, and less in the rear.

You definitely need to know if you have a 10lb RPV the MC for the front discs. At 10 lbs. they'll be dragging quite a bit. On the Jeep MC, you just remove the front brake fitting and it's behind that, in the MC. I used a sheet metal screw to thread into it and pulled it out with pliers.

As I recall, you pull out thecone shaped fitting and there is a spring loaded valve behind it. At least it's that way on the stock Jeep MC I worked on.
