rear fuel tank

    I am installing all my 70 parts in to a 68 frame. My question is do I need to remove the v shaped part of the rear frame in order to get the tank up high enough to get the fill tube above the frame rails. It was cut out of the 70 frame by PO.

    thanks for the info. I was looking at your pics what type of skid plate do you have, and how is it mounted?
