I was wondering if anyone was using the ta performance deep sump 14 bolt oil pan on their 225 v6. When my v6 was rebuilt the shop put in a higher flow oil pump and I was thinking of putting a deeper sump'd oil pan on my v6 (funds allowing maybe their pump upgrades too). Anyones experience or thoughts on this would be appreciated. My Jeep CJ5 is mostly used as a daily driver with a few offroading trips per year as I have the time available.

    Thanks in advance :)

From what I read in the "Technical Library" high volume oil pumps are not desired in the 225 V-6 engine.

yeah, that's what I have been finding also. I may just replace the oil pump with a stock unit. If anyone has experience with a high volume pump or can give any advantages of one that would be great...otherwise I will have a small project on my hands soon replacing the higher volume one with a stock unit.

When I did my oil pump rebuild I changed the slotted scerwbolts with Allen (hexkey) head screwbolts. It was inexpensive and afforded me much more precise control when torquing down to spec's. Although they were deeply cut , I did'nt like the screwdriver slotted design of the original fasteners. I am told that some originally had hex head bolts as opposed to being slotted like mine were.
