For Free. It isnt bad. 10 horus is along way though. It doesnt seem to be homemade, i have seena few like that. Mabye do 10 hours and bring the top and the jeepster under it home, now that would be worth it :)

A lot of similarities there. Could be the same, hard to tell. With some work you could enlarge the side windows, lack of visibility is the downfall to those small windows. I'm a fan of hardtops, so I'm prejudiced in that manner. I say get it, enlarge the windows, insulate it and enjoy the benefits of a hardtop. With aluminum being so light you won't have to worry about it being top heavy.

So Gleen does it get coldenoguh in your part of FLORIDA to use the benefits of the hard top ;) :) R)R)

Hard tops are nice and will work out great for you since you are in the north east. If you wheel the jeep, you will notice the top is noisy when offroad.

One thing I like is the snow doesn't collect on it. R) I've never had that problem with a hard top.

Seriously though, it is warmer with a hardtop. It makes a difference down here, and I imagine it would have to be more noticeable in the north.

Seems to me that all hardtops for flattys look kinda "homemade" R) R)

Anyway, that one looks really good. I'd make the trip for it. The one I drove 5 hours one way to get wasn't aluminum and in rougher shape and I paid 100 for it. Still glad I got it though.

You're right, most of them do look homemade. But that's '40s and '50s styling basically, so that's why. :)

Doesn't look homemade. All the flat fender hardtops look that way. I have one for my flat fender. It's the aluminum hardtop that Sears used to sell. I'm not a big fan of the hardtop. I feel like im inside a soda can or something. I just put a soft top on my flat fender over the weekend, so we'll see if thats any better. I'm keeping my hardtop and aluminum doors though.

I'm confused. What measurements do you want? As far as I know the tubs measure the same, the difference is in the cowl. You'll have to do some work to make a non 3B top work around the windshield/cowl section. I believe the main difference is in the doors.

i thought the 3b tub was wider and the lenght of the side of the hard top minus the roof section would be different than say a cj2. The guy hasnt emailed me back for a few days so i dont think im going out there at all unless i hear back tonight.

Just got some new information on the jeep top. Its about 56 inches wide and 36.5 inches long from the rear of the top to the back of the door frame. I think this is for a cj2 and not a cj3b but im still curious. If someone witha 3b top knows the measurements of theirs and wants to compare dimensions I would appreciate it a bunch. I would just like to make sure it will/wont fit as is.

Wouldn't the 2A top be more square at the windshield area compared to the 3B top? That should be the dead giveaway.

I took some measurements from my Koenig hardtop. The top is 57 and 1/4 inches wide. Now here is the tricky part. I measured from front to back along the rain gutter and it is 63 inches. The top of the rain gutter is approximately 2 inches below the top of the windshield. The side of mine measures 37 and 1/2 inches. Keep in mind we're talking about two different top manufacturers so measurements aren't necessarily going to match. Don't you have your 3B there to compare measurements with also? Even if the top fits don't forget the doors won't fit as is due to the different cowl height and windshield.

A friend of mine has a '53 and another guy I Jeep with has a '55. Their tubs are measure out the same as my tub, only my hood is longer. The '55 has a Meyers top just like mine.
