Does anyone have a picture of the stock (or preferred modified) coil mounting location for an L134? My 12 volt converted M38 had the coil mounted to the passenger side of the engine directly above the starter. It was loosely held by a nut and stud at the front, but the rear was a bolt. When I removed the bolt I was greeted by a fountain of engine coolant, apparently it went into the water jacket. Is this correct as designed? Should it have two studs?

    Thanks,
    David

Mounted as you describe is correct for a civilian L-head, but the coil will live a LOT longer if you move it up to the firewall. Heat is the kiss of death to anything elecjuictical. ;)
