Does any one on the board know where to get vin and paint trim decals, I found two places from searching the boards but I emailed them last week and none of them responded.

With enough money, I'm sure you could find someplace to make the decals for you. The trim decal is adhesive-backed aluminum, and the trim and paint codes are stamped into it. I don't know of any place that makes reproductions of these - you'll probably have to have it custom made.

Try looking in Hemming's Motor News - there are lots of restoration specialty places that advertise there. If you can find a business that does something similar to what you want, they may be able to connect you with the business that can make what you need.

    hth!

I am going to try and make my own paint and trim decal, could some one email me the dimensions and perhaps a picture. I have a small black and white but would love a better picture.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I recreated a dash vin decal myself in Adobe Illustrator. I posted it under "My Reproduction Vin Sticker", or something like that. Try a search in the forums. Anyway, it's for my 1979 CJ5. I copied it exactly from my original and a few internet pictures. I'm pretty sure 1978 looked about the same. I don't know what year your Jeep is, but you're welcome to use my decal as a template and fill in your info. Good luck.

I know they used that decal on the '72, and pretty sure it ended with the '73 model. However, it was used a few years prior to that, say '70 and '71. You might get some help if you post on the 'early' tech forum and explain what you need.
