For some reason i was thinking bout CJ6s last night. Given i dont have one but a dream of getting one :) But since a CJ6 would be good for families.

I got to thinking.... or Smoking

To get passengers to the backseat easier, it seems a M170 would be good because of the extended passenger door opening. But for owners of the regular CJ6, how bout taking the "s" portion of the door opening, and cutting it towards the back of the jeep. And create a door out of the "s" of the jeep. Put hinges on it ,and when you want to get into the rear of the jeep, you grab onto the latch or whatever and open the side of the jeep up and get in the back. No need for a flip forward passenger seat, and it would make getting in a bit easier. Given cutting up a CJ6 would be sacriledge, but it isnt like you are removing the piece, just cutting and hinging it to allow more access :)

The only challenge would be dealing with the major body support that's right there (same thing as the inner DS rear fender, just flipped and tying the bodyside to the floor).

probably could put one farther back. And utilize the existing one to double up support when teh door is clsoed :) Good pic mike, you could get alot of room to get in the rear if one were to make the door :)

A bit less so for me -- since I moved the front seats back quite a bit. The back of my drivers seat actually overhangs that middle floor bar (rollcage fab guy screwup...)

You can see where I had to move the seat belt attach point.

But still - on the passenger side in conjunction with a flip and tumble seat it'd be a nicely-sized door opening.
