Original seat cloth

Does anyone know where I can get the original seat fabric for my '55? It is a faux leatherish look. If I can get some and/or source it, I am gonna "cut up" my original seat to make exact patterns so this expert stitcher can reproduce it down to every stitch. May be able to get some for others as well. CJ

Usually, your faux leather look is vinyl of one kind or another. In the dim past I was in the home furniture business, and it was getting to the point you had a hard time telln' leather from plastic just by looking. So the pattern on vinyl is just a matter of embossing. I bet a good, independent upholestry guy would have some sample books he would let you look through...the guys who do custom work (hot rods, etc.) can find some amazing stuff.
