Was going through the 5 today fixing stuff I broke on Jerry's last easy trail back in June. I had noticed a wobble in the front and thought I might have a bad bearing - not so. I found one of my OE 38 year old rim had some elongated stud holes. Studs still looked good, so I put on the spare, and the wobble seems to have gone away. It was on the right front, but I rotated tires about six weeks ago and it was previously on the RR.

Here's the question, what would cause the elongation and should I replace all the original 15 inch rims? I guess I'm askin' if this could be an age thing.

If I replace should I go with old parts or try to find new? I really want to keep the original steel rims, and since I have new 15 inch rubber, I am not anxious to change sizes.

  I thought it was an easy trail. R)
My guess would be it was due to loose lug nuts in the past.
