1969 Commando Project

Here are some pics of my commando project. I rescued it from behind a barn in Michigan it has not run since 1982, when the head gasket leaked, the engine is seized.
Plans are 5.2 magnum, np435 np203 dana 20 doubler, full size axels and alot of body work.I removed the carpet and most of the floor came with it. I have been making new panels for it and found a good windshield frame. I am currently trying to get the body straight ( it sags pretty bad when the doors open) so I can start the rebuild.

 

Sounds like our typical northern rust belt bodies. Looks like ya got yourself a project there . Where about's in Michigan are you located? Grumpy in Detroit had a good hardtop he was trying to give away, don't know if he still has it or not.

 

I'm in White lake. I removed the original hard top it was pretty well gone, If He has it I may be interested in it, its that or a soft top.
