I have a 57 CJ5. I ordered an OD canvas winter top for it. I put the bows up and everything looked good. It fit perfect around the back right up to the top bow where the top attaches to it. But when I pull it to the windshield it comes up not wide enough to go over the sides of the windshield 69 1/2 inches. The rear is 64 inches wide. My question is: Is there a measurement difference between a CJ5 and an M38A1 as far as the width of the windshield goes? Does anybody have any information on this? It looks dorky. No pictures available. :?:?:?

AFAIK the only difference between the M38A1 and CJ-5 windshield of that vintage is the divided glass (M38A1 has it).

    Who supplied your top?

    :iagree:

The only difference is in the glass, not the frame size.
