225 Headbolt Sealant

    Newbie to the website, Hello all.
    I will be replacing the headgaskets on my 225 :v6:. My service manual (circa 1965) calls for a particular headgasket sealant and headbolt sealant. What would that product be in 2007? Do the headbolts need to be sealed because of a water jacket concern? It is a FelPro gasket kit. Do I need to coat the headgasket with a particular sealant too? I have also posted this question on the CJ3B page, but got limited responses. They like their 134 F Heads and have limited input on the Dauntless 225 :v6:

    For the bolts ........not the gasket. Most head gaskets dont need anything

    Thanks for the info and the quick response. Had to order the gaskets, they should be here today. I'll pick up the sealant when I go to get the gaskets.
