Progress with "ole' Blue"

    As you can see she is down to bare metal now. Eventually found what I think is the Chassis number. If anyone can help decode I would be very greatful, the last photo shows where I found it.. Now starts the rebuild. Primer, filler, primer.....and so on until she is as smooth as a babies butt.

    Your missing the front crossmember under the grill. My Jeep was missing it also. Because of it. I had many frame cracks and the frame rails were expanded apart. Before you get carried away and paint it. Something should be put back in its place. That way you can mount the grill to it. If the grill is bolted to the frame. You will get cracks in your fenders. BTDT:(

    Someone also welded blocks to the frame to space the front springs down several inches.
