Broken Part on TC ?

    Just got everything apart and Mostly cleaned up. Noticed this broken part on the bottom rear of TC.

    What went here? Am I gonna miss it?

    The good news - I have a t14
    The bad news - Its busted all to hell.

    I believe that is where a stud was mounted for the e-brake pivot arm. Mine had the same problem. if you don't want a e-brake you're okay. Changine the middle section is no problem if you have another. Whiterook

    I'm no expert on the D18, but I believe that's where the lever arm to engage the parking brake went. You could leave it off if you're not going to use the driveshaft brake.

    There are NO other parts for the E brake that I can see on this Jeep. I think though with my 11" drums I can add a brake to the rear. ???

    The more I work on this thing the more I find Bad/broken.

    Yes, the 11" Bendix brakes have cable-actuated parking brake acting on the rear axle shoes. You'll need to scrounge up the levers and cross-bars (more hardware on the backing plate), and your backing plates have to have a hole for the cable. In that case you can omit the TC drum and its backing plate.
