Finally getting a full day in to work on wimpy's engine. Kinda going slow since I'm powdercoating a bunch of the metal pieces that attach to the block8) Running out of black powder so don't know how much further I'll get today. That orange on the oil filter is Bright8)

The one picture is where the starter goes on Wimpy right now. The darn mice packed a bunch of junk in the bellhousing and now it jammed everything up. I couldn't even turn the engine over with a socket on the crank pulley. Cleaned it out once and it turned over a couple more times before it jammed back up agian:mad:

Garrontee I'll be mouse proofing the new engine.

    Or at least try to...

That's a neat looking valve head cover...Is that a 2 or a 4cyl? I'm sure it has to be a 4. Go Devil I believe they were called? Looks in pretty shape

Its the hurricane;) 4 cyl, F-head(overhead valves)

The engine was in my 62 to begin with but I swapped it out a couple years ago. I've been rebuilding it slowly for the last 7 months.

    Powdercoat is shiny8)
That stuff really dresses the engine up. Just wish I could powdercoat the whole block and wish I had my electric range when I was working on the head last winter.

It looks great!!! Overhead. What was the "Go-Devil" then?

I thought powder coat would burn off? From what I have seen of powder coated junk left in the NM sun it becomes cracked. Just be careful

As long as it doesn't get to 400 degrees it should be good. Don't have to worry about the sun too much up here in michigan. I just got the powdercoating gun this past winter so haven't done too much with it yet. I did powdercoat the windshield hinges and hood hinges so I guess that will be my test on sunlight.
