Rear seat

    Did all '75 CJ5's come with rear seats? I have seen some Jeep picks with no rear seat.

    My rear seat has a blanket over it, no cover. Just blanket over foam. How can I tell if its stock? I would like to order a cover but dont know if its original. Otherwise I have no use for it and want to take it out.

    :):shock:Don't know about the '75, but for the earlier ones ('55-'71) any thing but the driver's seat was an option.R):driving:

    Yes, at least through 1975, only the driver's bucket seat was included in the base price. If you ordered the 2/3-1/3 bench seats, then you would not get the driver's bucket - at extra cost.

    The optional back seat should be held to the floor with brackets that slide under 4 brackets on the rear floor. The original seat would have been black or beige textured vinyl like the front buckets. If it's an original seat, it's still worth having since it can be recovered - especially if it has the original brackets.
