    I used them on my 80 cj7, and I wasn't impressed.
it wasn't square, and its also 2 inches narrower than stock, which forces me to put a ratchet strap around my hard top to squeeze it together to get the bolts in, kind of a pain.
If you're looking for a topless mudder where you will just beat on it, it should work well, but if you want something square and pretty, you should stay away from jc whitney.
check out my jeeps page below and go to my cj7 for my tub install pictures

No cut outs at all? I guess that explains the cheaper price

best bet is to find a usable original tub. Bill Oakes is in your area, he might have something

Check out www.willysoverland.com. Their tubs have all of the factory cut outs and whatnots done to them. I think they are a little more, but from what I've seen and heard about ordering other tubs, it is worth the little extra he charges. I almost ordered one last year for my cj-5, but then I didn't.

I bought an M38A1 today that has a very usuable tub on it, it's had some minor mods to make it look more like a CJ5. I don't have possession of the Jeep yet, but I'll be putting the tub and frame up for sale cheap soon. But I'm in Denver.

Ron, let me know about the shape and price on that tub. If I can save myself the work of transferring panels from that tub I bought from Tommy, it would be worth it for me.
