    Hi,

I am needing advice on some of my earlier posted questions in the last two days but I cant get any response to them. Any help is appreiciated along with advice if I am posting anything wrong or the wrong way. Please check out the titles from bnorth10.

I need advice on what is the best way to run a throttle cable from my gas pedal to my quadrajet carb on my M38A1 w/ a chevy V8 or rather what part I could best find at the auto parts store to use to be close?

Also need to know the best way to plumb my brakes on a Dana 30 with thesame M38A1. There are no fittings just 7/16 x20 size holes. I have a master cylinder converted to the firewall. Wandering how to run lines and what fittings would be best to use and possibly where to get them?

    Thanks in advance,

I would think that the cable (or linkage from the boneyard) from whatever vehicle the motor is from would work.

    2 ways to plumb:

    1) the stock M38/flattie/early 5 way with 3 rubber hoses, one from the frame to the axle (looks like the rear setup) the one hose from each knuckle to the axle tube.

    2) the later 5/6 way with 2 hoses going straight from the frame to the knuckle.

to get the fittings, you need to know what year/make/model the brakes came from or you play 'stump the counterman' at flaps.

I have a Nissan gas pedal that bolts to the firewall. The throttle cable I used for my Quadrajet was from a 79' full size Chevy truck. It's the shortest one I could find. It also will clip onto the Nissan pedal.

As for the brake hoses. The stock hoses will fit into the drum brakes unless you have disks. I used the stock flex lines from my old D25. I cut off the metal bracket that holds them to the axle and welded them to the frame. Then I made new brake lines acrossed the frame.

No duplicate or cross posts please.

I see two other threads started by you that have responses in them.

    Thanks.
