I have started stripping Ole' Blue down. All the wiring and lights are out. I need to take the tub off to lift the engine and gearbox. Once this is done she is going for sandblasting. The firwall has a whole lot of holes in it where different owners have run wires thru'. What would be the best way to fill them up. I am not keen on body putty.

    Do you have a welder?

I filled ~30 holes and didn't do the firewall... I figure once I get the wiring and other items (heat, parking brake etc) re-run I'll seal up with I can with screws and bolts.

A lot of those holes are supposed to be there. Have you seen Howard's firewall drawings?

Including all the regular holes for the pedals, dimmer switch, master cylinder and so on, I must have an extra 20 or so that are about 4 to 5mm in diameter.

I agree just weld them up with like a MIG welder. thats what i do with unwanted holes then grind it smooth and paint it and you'll never know it was there.
