304 Rebuild this winter

    hey all-

    i am looking to pull the 304 out of my 76 CJ5 this winter and rebuild it...

    can someone point me in the direction of a good master rebuild kit?

    i have found one (only one) and i would like to comparison shop...:?

    Also, are you going to use a machine shop? You could give them a chance to buy the parts for you, either a kit or the individual parts. They can get a good price from their suppliers and are usually willing to pass on some savings to a good customer. It's less risky too, since the shop will be responsible to get the parts for you that are right for the machining done.

    Also, try the local chain stores. The V6 guys recommend the kit from Advanced or Auto Zone? If it's quality parts, they will quote a competetive price.
