    Point gap set correctly?

    Spark across the points?

Your (-) wire isn't grounding out on the distributor body anywhere is it?

I know how frustrating this can be when you first start troubleshooting this stuff, it gets easier with time. :)

Neg from batt is connected to the engine block, is this ok or should it be connected to the body?

rotor mising? simple and prob not it,but it was a thought, how long have you had it and have you herd it run? could be just corrosion on the points, have you pulled the cap? does the rotor turn while cranking? alot of reasons need more detail

    bought new points and condenser
motor started right up but dont have a gap gauge
gave it some gas and it died
looked inside the cap again saw saw the big OH NO
I forgot to connect the wire from the coil to the points, must have been leaning on it by chance to start
when i moved it i heard a slight electric spark sound
did i fry the condenser because it wont start now
tried the old condenser and still no go' the wire looks ok still, not ripped out
The wires from the coil and the condensor get connected to the same screw??

same screw is a yes, check the points again they may have welded shut, and when the dist lobe tried to open them it could have snaped the points breaker arm,may have to back up and try this one again, shouldnt have fried any thing though, but check it all out again to be safe

check your wire that goes to the coil and see if it is conducting anything, check for power going to the coil, you may have burned up the resistor

borrowed a point gap setter and set them to 16
Still wont start, bought a new coil but didnt install it yet, I want to see if i dont need it
When I set the gap I have the feeler in the gap and tighten,
do i want to apply pressure until its almost stuck in there or just so the measurer can slide in?
Can I hook up my 10amp charger to power up the jeep to start it?

I found TDC by putting a stick in the number 1 cylinder and cranked it over until it was at the high point,
With no windshield and a keyless start this is a 1 person job

might charge it with the 10 amp, thats about all, feeler gauge should slide with very little resistance

Reset the gap and tried again to start it
looked again in the carb and no gas was going into the jets
It must have leaked out when the fuel like broke. I had less then a gallon in the tank
Used some starting fluid and she starts right up but dies due to no fuel
tomorrow I will get some gas and try it again
Does antone have a radiator that dosent leak that fits my 68
