I just replaced my tiny 20CF bottle with a larger 40CF bottle. I finished welding up my new seat frame last night, but I had some intermittent sizzling that seems to indicate to me that the shielding gas isn't doing it's job. I upped the pressure setting on the tanks regulator, but wondered what you guys run.

    I'm using a Lincoln Weldpak-HD with a MIG Conversion. 0.025 ERS70 wire.

I run mine on 15-20, and try to keep the doors and windows closed.

Any breeze at all and you have to bump the pressure up - I have to go to 40 outside at times - I have a 100CF bottle.

I was inside the garage but welding from the bottom. I ramped it up from 15 to 25. Helped but didn't eliminate it. Flipping the frame around and coming at it from the top seemed to solve it. Seems like I'm on track, just needing more experience.

The 40CF tank is nice. Much better fit on the cart and only $6 more to fill than the 20CF tank. Westair was excellent about upgrading my leased tank to the larger version. I think it was only an extra $2 after they credited me for the smaller tank.

I run 10cfm without too much trouble, snaps a bit but the welfds don't seem to suffer. If theres a window or a door open I have to go up to 15.
