Ok, so I took my 47' CJ2A apart awhile ago, and going to be re-installing the tie rods after doing some repairs on the steering. But I can't remember which side is the long side and which is the short side.

I believe one tie rod length is 17inches and the other length is about 19.

    Thanks

Passenger side = long side. Check out the gallery for various pics if needed (I don't have any handy).

Looks like the PO used some steering parts from a M38a1 which has 3/4 TRE's vs. the 11/16 TRE's . so The set of 11/16 CJ2A TRE's are useless to me. uuugh

At least the M38a1 tire rods are beefier.

So I have a set of CJ2A TRE's if anyone is looking for a set, I just want to get what I paid back for them.

Sure is a learning curve finding out what previous owners have used to get it going!
