    Hi,
I am new to this site. I bought a 1961 CJ5 that I am going to restore.
I was able to get it to tun yesterday but noticed fuel leaking out ot the Cater YF Carb. it is leaking out of a lever the comes out from the botton of the section that has the float. I attached and illustration of the lever.

Sounds like the float chamber is over-flowing. That's where it will leak out. Check the float and float valve for holes, adjustment and/or crud. etc.

    Happy Jeeping!

You could consider replacing the Carter with a Solex .

    Thanks for the help.
I will attempt to adjust the float and if that does not help I see about either getting it professionally rebuilt or get a solex.

Talk to Glenn and no one else. They were a Jeep Dealer back in the Day. He may have some stuff laying around.
