Will a Jeep Body fit on a 1978 Chevy SB 4x4 frame.

    I have a 1978 Chevy Short Bed truck 4x4....it has a Chevy 250 6 cyl engine and runs good.
    The problem is that there is no bed on it, just frame, and the cab is in need of a new floor. Also I hate the cab. It's way to big.
    So.....since I'm new to all of this. I thought I would ask if a Cj7 body would fit on it.....

    Just a thought....or any other ideas..?

    Anything will fit anything else with a LOT of time and $$$ involved in the process.
    Off the top of my head I think you are going to have issues with the frame width, overall frame length, driveline length and axle width just to name a few. Ideally you would want to have one of each vehicle side-by-side in order to take detailed measurements and make comparisons before you would tear into both vehicles.

    IMHO it would be far easier and less expensive to sell the truck and start over with as complete a project Jeep as you can find to use as a starting point.
