Testing a HEI distributor

I have no spark coming from my nearly new Procomp HEI distributor. I have 12 volt current coming to the hot wire feed ti the distributor cap and current to the wire marked coil. there is no spark when testing the plug wires with a spark plug tester. I thought since no spark it must be an ignition module but I replaced it and still no spark. is there any way to test the coil. I hate to buy a new one if its not bad.

 

I have a DUI HEI distributor. When I had problems with it, I went to their website and followed their trouble shooting suggestions. The same may work for you although it may be possible that the DUI may have some custom parts in it (I know their module is custom).
