Never thought this was ever going to happen. Fired the GM 4.3 TBI for the first time today. Just try and wipe this smile off! Oh, please excuse the mess. Of course there's no rad, accessories, etc.

I know the feeling. It's been over a month now and I still get a good feeling. When I see the rebilt F-head sitting in the driveway. I cannot believe how smooth it sounds compared to my 1963. I haven't been following your rebuild but I guess congratulations are in order.

Primed the Jeepster today, and painting tonight. It's almost 1 am and I've got a couple more hours to go. I've driven it, so far so good. Here's the primer:

Loaded on the flatbed to get an exhaust 2 days ago. Put duels on it, took two of us (I was the helper) 7 hours to get it in because of the big chevy transfer case, very tight on one side. Few things left and should be legal on the road Monday. (crossing fingers) :)

That engine sounds great! Been fighting the urge to buy a Jeepster. But with a CJ5 in the garage and a '55 F100 in the driveway maybe I should wait.......maybe not..

Got the Jeepster done enough to take it to the Jeep Jamboree this past weekend. Had some trouble with the fuel injection, so got on the trails Friday, but had to take the wife's TJ on Saturday. It worked great while it lasted, got some fuel pump/computer issues. Here's a pic, sorry no action shots. It wasn't dirty enough so my 8 year old took care of that.

Jeepster is all fixed. Had a fuel pump test lead laying on the exhaust manifold and shorted.
