    Hello All!

I am about to replace my oil pan gasket because of a small leak near the starter. Two questions.

    1. Should I use gasket sealer on both sides of the gasket, or one side, which sealer do you recommend.

    2. While I have the pan off, what should I look for/replace. The :v6: runs great no problems except for the leak.

    Thanks for all the input.

    -Mark:)

Both sides. Just be careful not to over tighten the cork gasket. My brother uses the High Tack spray stuff. I alway use the OMC brand gasket sealant. It's just because I like it and I got the bottle for free years ago. I'd stay away from the RTV silicone stuff. The only place I'd use that is for making a bead for the intake of a Chevy.
