well gonna give it one more try...

i was working on getting the holley pro-jection tuned ...yet again.

i had already replace one o2 sensor not too long ago but last night when i unpluged it... no change in how the engine was running... guess i will buy one more to see if i can get this running any better.

    any suggestions :?

My suggestion would be to use megasquirt so you can datalog and figure out what the problems is versus guessing and throwing money at it. Just my 2cents. You can use the holley throttle body and O2 sensor you already have.

i looked at their site a few weeks back... what exactly do i need from them?

    too rich...

when you think you have it dialed in, the weather chages and it runs like crap.

when you have a good idle (800-1k rpm) it runs bad on the road

when it runs great on the road, rough idle

timing is on, new plugs/wires/DUI ignition/no leaks, exhaust or vacum/throtle body has been cleaned out.

i am really hoping this o2 sensor will work

When I was working on the first generation ProJections, they all worked just as you described. I had one customer that used to come in about every two weeks so we could retune his system on the dyno. We used to see a lot of problems with throttle position sensors and coolant sensors, but that's been a long time ago.

The Megasquirt is great. I've been running an early system for over three years now, one with no spark. If you get the brain box and the relay board it's pretty much just a matter of wiring everything up and tuning as long as your existing sensors and fuel system are good. Everything you need to know is on their site, but it will take some studying to figure it out as the system is very flexible.
