Dana 18 Single Stick to Twin Stick Conversion

    My '71 has a 4" extension on the shifter.

    Hello,
    I just created an account here specifically to thank CJ Joe (post #16) for posting his fabrication pictures.

    I searched all over the net and this was exactly what I needed to realize I could make this myself.
    When I put the SM420 in the dana "super" 18 single stick wouldn't fit so I cut it off and am much happier with two sticks now anyway.
    It took about $10 and a couple hours and I was able to make a twin stick that works great and I am very happy with.

    So thanks again for the inspiration!

    Your gonna love the shifter for the boys T18 then ... we had the bottom, and he wanted the top out of rebar :)

    Very old thread here but just what I was looking for. I did the twin stick conversion in a hurry and didn't come out with a good result. I'm redoing it now so I wanted to ask where did you get these shifter sticks from? Did you make them yourself or order them somewhere?

    I got my whole kit from member nickmil. Great guy and great to do business with. Nick can probably get you whatever you need.
