It lives!!!!

Hi All,
Just wanted to say thanks for all the help I have gotten so far. As of last night the Jeep starts and moves under it's own power. I started this project in Oct of 06 and it was basically a pile of parts. 5 months later and it is nearly done and I moved it around the garage last night under it's own power. I am very excited to say the least.

Nice and straight, what color are you going to paint it?

 

The color you see now is safety red. It's a Rustoleum Professional Series color. Try not to laugh but my plan is to paint it with a roller like described in this famous thread on the Mopar board.

My jeep is sage green walmart's finest krylon.

 

I am looking at for cost effectiveness and ease of application. I have painted a couple of VW's in my garage and the cleanup and preparation are just too time consuming. Besides it's not like it's a show truck.

I am hoping to get all the mechanicals and electrical sorted out by the end of the month and by then it should be warming up pretty good here in NC. I'll take lot's of pics and I am sure I'll start a thread for it.

My neighbor does a lot of work with Georgia power. He gave me a case of GA Power "Transformer Green" paint in spray cans. Took 5 cans to spray the whole Jeep.
