I've searched and found some basic information but I want to make sure I get things right with my 1961 CJ5 F134 remote oil filter installation. The Jeep came without an oil filter.

    1) I've read where the oil feed port to use is the one behind the fuel pump. The most difficult one to get to! Can I use any of the other 3 on the drivers side of the block? Or does it need to be the one at the front?

    2) What size tubing? Is the stock oil filter 1/8" ID pipe or different? Can it be too large and rob oil flow from the engine?
I only bought the oil filter housing, not the hoses.

    Thanks.

I would stick with using the proper outlet on the block. Use flare fittings on the block and the filter housing. I don't remember off hand if they're 1/4" or 5/16", but either size with the corresponding hose will be fine. I think the block pipe thread size is 1/8, I don't remember on the filter side but since you've got it you'll be able to figure it out easy enough. :) When set up properly you won't have to worry about starving the block for oil.
