muffler question

I've run glasspacks on several of my rigs, but never a Jeep. I had dual exhaust with them put on my '75 Cadillac (with the 500 motor...it was pretty funny), my '73 Chevy 4x4, and my '60 Olds. I like the sound of them, but if you read enough muffler reviews in hot rod magazines you'll find they're actually at the lower end of the HP spectrum. At least compared to more modern designs. It never made any sense to me how a baffled design could produce more power than a straight through one, but I guess a dynometer doesn't lie. I really like the sound of them behind a V8...very old school. I've never liked them as much behind a 6 or 4 though...it just isn't the same :twisted: . I'm going with stock exhaust on mine FWIW.
